The Presidents Charity for this year is the Candlelighters, who quite simply are fighting children's cancer in Yorkshire at the Leeds hospitals.  They do this simply by raising money which is spent on much needed medical equipment, help to parents who stay with their children whilst they are having treatment, very welcome holidays in the Candlelighters own caravan and chalets for children and parents,  research and additional staff, including training.  The challenge now is to raise an extra £500,000.00 to help towards the big move, when this specialist children's unit moves from St James to the Leeds General Infirmary into a new ward, with much improved clinical facilities, a conservatory and a garden for those children that can to play in and at least be outside when they can be.
