Tockwith and District Show
Saturday 1st August 2009

Tockwith Show is dependent on a large number of volunteers who give up some of their time on Show Day, and also in the week leading up to the Show, to set up the Show and then to act as stewards on the Day.You don't need any experience of animal handling or even agriculture to help out - there are many jobs which need doing - from staffing entrance gates to selling programmes - as well as just being around to help and guide visitors to the Show. If you can spare even a couple of hours on Show Day, you have then got the rest of the day to enjoy the Show which you will have helped make succesful.
During the evenings in the week running up to the Show we have to lay out dozens of fence posts and what seems like miles of rope. For tasks like this, the simple rule is - the more the merrier ! If you would be interested in joining the team which makes this Show so successful, why not contact us at volunteer@tockwithshow.org.uk
